Steps to remove lambsquarter weed
Removing lambsquarter weed is one of the easiest weeds to remove but they create a problem when they are large in number. Considering your lawn and fields both are facing lambsquarter weeds, the following steps will help you to overcome this-
Step 1- First, identify lambsquarter weeds either in your lawn or fields. Mark them next.
Step 2- Now, you have to figure out which is growing mature. A simple way to identify them is that you will see seeds bunch with their top growing portions. You have to remove such weeds first.
Step 3- After that, put a cloth or sheet under such plants to collect the seeds and not let them fall on the soil. Repeat this process with every mature plant if you want almost a permanent solution.
Step 4- Now, cut the whole plant from the stem and it will create comfort for you to handle it. Later you can remove the stem after careful removal of the upper matured part. This will not let the seeds fall on the ground and new seeds will not germinate or germinate in very small numbers which you can bury easily. Either use scissors or cultivation tools to do that.
Step 5- With young and older plants(those that are not matured), you can remove them by the hand-picking method. Just grab their stem at the bottom and pick them up directly. Don't forget to wear safety glubs. You can also use weed-picking tools to remove these plants.
Step 6- If you accidentally unknowingly left seeds in the ground and forget to pick or clean them, you can use organic herbicides to not let them grow. But carefully practice this thing otherwise it can badly impact the other plants or grass you are growing in your fields or lawns.
Step 7- Don't through away weeds after removing them. You can use them later and you will be surprised by them.
