Dracaena Warneckii is a perennial household plant that grows in warm climate conditions. A genuine indoor plant that reduces indoor pollution and purifies air quality and mood refreshing.
It is not too hard to maintain it but it becomes difficult to care for a sudden temperature change. In a drop in temperature, cold winters almost make it an annual plant.
I've got a few office dracaena plants and they are growing well.
Let's understand how to take care of your Dracaena Warneckii plants indoors.
Dracaena Warneckii care indoors
Dracaena Warneckii plant leaves are longer like snake plants have. With air purification, it is easier than other household plants to manage in warm climate conditions. Better to not consider it in snowfall regions.
Dracaena Warneckii plant care needs only a few terms to care of. Fertilization, regular irrigation, trimming of leaves, and the right time to implementation. But before telling you the Dracaena Warneckii plant caring tips, you should know its features of it in more suitable conditions-

Is it suitable to handle Dracaena Warneckii in pots?
Having a couple of Dracaena Warneckii plants, I can say that if you can manage the growth and trim extra leaves to keep them in shape, then it is not bad to grow them in pots.
Dracaena Warneckii plants grow well in warm climate conditions. So with shape maintenance, you need to keep the temperature near 50F at least at night.
Dracaena Warneckii plants sometimes get die in lower temperatures even after being a perennial plant. It doesn't mean that you have to create the same conditions during the winter season as you do in late spring or in summer. With a drastic change in natural season and temperature, Dracana Warneckii plants get disturbed with their natural growth and will take unnecessary stress.
Care in Summer
Mid-summer is the time when the Dracaena Warneckii plant peaks with its growth. During this period, you need to be consistent with regular irrigation, fertilization, and trimming to keep the plant in shape.
Here, I'm sharing my personal experience of Dracaena Warneckii plants with you-
Step 1- Starting from late spring, you have to keep checking the temperature difference outdoors and indoors. If the outdoor temperature is more than the indoor and the margin is more than 37F, then make sure you have proper air exhaust.
Step 2- Check the soil moisture on daily basis. Don't wet the soil because you don't want to drain the water in the room or office. So use plenty of water to moisten the soil.
Step 3- If summer is too hot and humidity is very low, then spray some water near the plant to keep telling the plant about enough humidity in the air.
Step 4- Don't use AC for a whole day. It is good to keep that off and run it for an hour or two without switching it off.
Step 5- Sunlight should be bright and regular for at least 3 to 5 hours where you keep your plant. Don't believe that it will live without sunlight. In shade, it is not harmful to keep for the whole night during hot summer.
Step 6- Once in a month fertilization is enough for this plant. The best fertilizer is organic compost which should be dry and decomposed by more than 90%.
Step 7- Trim extra leaves if they are inclining the whole plant.
Step 8- Use a wooden or metal stand that can keep the plant straight upwards. Thread it if you find it necessary.
Step 9- Don't consume the trimmed leaves as they are poisonous for human consumption.
Care in Winter
Winter season is full of dormancy for the Dracaena Warneckii plant. During this period, you shouldn't disturb the plant with unnecessary fertilizers. Apart from dormancy disturbance, I'm suggesting you few steps to keep it maintain as I do-
Step 1- Check the current Dracaena Warneckii plant condition including soil, leaves, color, and growth.
Step 2- If the plant is not growing green or turning yellow and brownish then don't be afraid. This is normal during dormancy.
Step 3- Irrigate once a week if the temperature is dropping at a constant rate.
Step 4- Don't fertilize before the spring. Don't believe in market-misleading fertilizers that promise you to recover plants in dormancy. It is always best to let the plant rest during this period at least.
Step 5- Trimming of extra leaves or trimming short should be done in the fall season.
Step 6- No pruning is necessary for the Dracaena Warneckii plant in winter.
